Mission and Goals For the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing:
To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

• The YMCA will be a safe and accessible place for families of all kinds to develop in spirit, mind and body by providing education, recreational, social, health and lifestyle needs programs.

• The YMCA will lead by practicing the basic precepts of Judeo-Christian values, and be a catalyst for promoting acceptance among all people.

• The YMCA will be a provider of programs that build character, leadership and citizenship potential of all people, with an emphasis on children and young adults.

• The YMCA will be a unified and integrated network of cost effective, community-based service centers developed to serve people throughout the Lansing Metropolitan Area.

• The YMCA will develop and preserve the resources to promote and enhance its mission, goals and objectives and build partnerships with community organizations to deliver services to those in need.

Mystic Lake YMCA Camp’s Mission:
Our mission as members of the Mystic Lake Camp family is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment in which youth may develop social, physical and personal skills.

Our primary objectives are:
• To allow each child an opportunity to have fun and make new friends
• To allow each child to experience personal success
• To create a camp atmosphere conducive to the strengthening of peer relationships
• To create a safe environment for our campers and staff
