The Mystic Experience

The Mystic Experience is where your child’s camping traditions begin. It is an exciting time for making new friends, trying new activities and learning new skills. Campers are assigned to cabin groups according to age. Cabins of similar ages form a village, each having its own special activities and traditions. Experienced and caring counselors, excellent facilities, extensive program offerings, healthy meals and the “Mystic Magic” await each camper.

Pioneer Village
(Ages: 7 – 9) This is the beginning experience for young campers. Pioneer Village campers choose from a variety of age-appropriate activities such as arts & crafts, nature hikes, archery, rowing, fishing, and sports.
They enjoy their own evening programs, swim lessons and a campfire cookout. See Pony Club option below.

Challenge Village
(Ages: 10 – 12*) Challenge aged campers experience the thrill and excitement of the great outdoors. Their choices include arts and crafts, a variety of new games, environmental adventures and special waterfront activities. They begin with the low ropes adventure course and then move on to our 40 foot outdoor climbing tower. Campers in this village have their own special evening programs. They campout overnight (sleeping in a tent or a teepee) share stories around a campfire and cook their own dinner one evening during the week. See below for Pony Club option.

Senior Village
(Ages: 12* – 14) The Senior Village is the culmination of all that Mystic Lake has to offer. Campers in this village will enjoy the freedom to spend their days doing the activities they enjoy the most. Seniors participate in our high adventure activities including our high ropes course, have their own special overnight deep in the camp property and spend a portion of Friday doing their own special activities.

Pony Club
Pony Club is for Pioneer and Challenge campers who would like to add a
horse experience to their week of camp. Campers spend three activity sessions at the barn, learning about horse care, tack and general horsemanship, and take a trail ride at the end of the week. Perfect for campers who wonder if Wrangler Camp might be right for them next year!
