Specialty Camps
Mini Camp(Ages: 6 – 14) This camp is perfect for those who desire a half week stay. The four day session includes all the traditional camp activities like boating, swimming, hiking, crafts, and archery. Wednesday check out is at 2:00pm.
Crossroads Challenge Camp/Technical Tree Climbing
(Ages: 11 – 14) Ascend to the heights of our tall trees, work as a team to traverse the oak canopy, and feel triumph as you overcome personal challenges. Learn the climbing techniques used by rock climbers and cavers, know how to tie proper knots and develop team skills. The first day is spent on the low and high ropes courses to prepare, then spend the rest of the week exploring the forest canopy.
Gone Fishing
(Ages: 11 – 13) If you love to fish this camp is for you. You’ll fish for pike, bass and pan fish, take a half-day charter on Lake Michigan to hook giant salmon, steelhead and lake trout, and compete in our bass tournament on Mystic Lake! Bring your tackle, we’ll supply bait and instruction. Campers also enjoy traditional activities like swimming, archery, cookouts, and field games. Space is limited, register early.
Drama Camp
(Ages: 12 – 14) From improvisation to writing and performing a skit, Drama Camp has it all. Campers with creativity and imagination who want to try acting will love it. They will work on a skit, design costumes and sets and explore different forms of acting. Campers also participate in traditional activities such as boating, swimming, field games and arts & crafts.
Discovery Adventure Camp
(Ages: 12 – 14) This two week program is for campers looking
for adventure. The first week of camp is spent participating in the Mystic Experience. The second week begins with a weekend adventure trip to a Michigan State Park to learn the basics of tent camping and explore the natural beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline. Other Week 2 adventures include a high ropes experience, an afternoon of technical tree climbing, a day trip to Michigan’s Adventure Water and Amusement Park, a tubing trip down the Muskegon River and a horse trail ride. To wrap up this week, there is a very special Friday program.
